ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
🎬 Google releases “Veo 3.1”

This week, Google released "Veo 3.1," an upgraded version of its viral AI video generation model, and integrated it into Flow, its AI filmmaking tool that lets users generate, edit, and extend videos using text prompts and creative controls.

Since launching only 5 months ago, over 275 million videos have been generated on the Google Flow platform.

Veo 3.1 is also available now through Google Gemini and other creative tools like Descript, Higgsfield AI, KREA AI, HeyGen, Leonardo.Ai, and more.

With Veo 3.1, you can now:

  • Extend Videos (with audio): Extend the length of any video while maintaining audio continuity throughout the entire sequence.

  • First & Last Frames (with audio): Specify the opening and closing frames, and Veo can generate all of the motion and action in between them with synchronized audio.

  • Multiple reference images (with audio): Upload up to three reference images to guide your video's content and style, receiving outputs with audio that match your scene's atmosphere and action.

  • Add or Remove Objects: Edit your video by adding or removing objects within the scene, giving you granular control over your final composition.

This means creators can now build complete video sequences with full audio support and precise narrative control, from initial generation through extension, without needing separate audio or editing tools.

VIDEO EDITING
💫 VEED releases “VEED Flow”

This week, VEED released "Flow," a unified AI-powered video editing workflow that consolidates brand management, audio cleanup, subtitle generation, and text-based editing into a single platform.

Flow transforms video production timelines from hours to minutes, targeting creators who need to ship professional-looking content quickly without technical editing expertise.

With Flow, you can now:

  • Edit videos like text documents: Upload footage and VEED automatically generates a full transcript, allowing you to delete, rearrange, or trim clips by simply highlighting and removing text — no timeline scrubbing required.

  • Remove silences with AI: Identify gray boxes in the transcript (representing pauses or dead air) and delete them manually or use AI to remove them automatically, creating seamless cuts without manual timeline editing.

  • Fix mistakes with AI rephrase: Correct verbal errors or incorrect information without reshooting by typing the correction — AI updates your voice to match the new text naturally.

  • Add dynamic subtitles instantly: Generate perfectly timed captions with one click, choosing from multiple style templates, essential for the 70%+ of social media users who watch without sound.

  • Clean audio professionally: Transform phone-recorded audio into studio-quality sound with one-click background noise removal and audio enhancement, even for footage recorded in suboptimal conditions.

  • Access integrated B-roll: Browse VEED's video library or generate custom B-roll using AI to enhance talking head videos without leaving the platform.

  • Apply brand kits: Maintain consistent styling across all video projects with saved brand assets and templates.

Flow is available now with a free tier for all users.
