🎬 Premiere Pro releases 90+ effects

Adobe has acquired Film Impact
This week, Adobe released 90+ new effects, transitions, and animations for Premiere Pro in version 25.5, marking one of the largest content updates to the platform's effects library.
This massive effects library expansion addresses a long-standing gap where editors often relied on third-party plugins or After Effects for advanced visual treatments, streamlining the editing workflow within Premiere Pro itself.
These tools are powered by Adobe's recent acquisition of Film Impact, a company known for creating high-quality video effects and transitions.

Applying video transitions
With the new effects and transitions, you can now:
Create cinematic looks: Apply glowing highlights, atmospheric effects, and professional color treatments without leaving your timeline.
Add modern transitions: Access dynamic cuts, glitches, and smooth animations that feel current and engaging.
Animate effortlessly: Drag and drop animations onto text, video, and graphics without complex keyframing.
Work in real-time: Preview all effects instantly with full GPU acceleration, eliminating render wait times.
Experiment with "Surprise Me": Every effect includes a "Surprise Me" button that generates endless variations with one click.
You can view the full list here.
GPU acceleration uses your computer's graphics card (instead of just the processor) to handle video effects and rendering.
This means effects process much faster and you can see changes instantly while editing, rather than waiting for your computer to "think" about each adjustment.
The new animation tools particularly stand out, making motion graphics creation as simple as applying a transition.
You can now make static graphics move in seconds with motion transitions that grow, pop, wiggle, and sweep light across your titles.
You can even clone a logo with built-in animations, creating motion graphics that look like they took hours to create — all with just two PNG files 👇

All effects are available now to Creative Cloud subscribers and work seamlessly across desktop and mobile Premiere Pro versions.

👀 Adobe is bringing "Nano Banana" to Photoshop

This week, Adobe confirmed plans to integrate Google's "Nano Banana" (officially called Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) directly into Photoshop's Generative Fill feature, following teases from several Adobe employees on social media.
The integration marks a significant shift for Adobe, adding Google's viral AI model as an optional tool alongside Adobe's own Firefly models.
The model is expected to roll out in September 2025 as an optional choice within Photoshop's existing Generative Fill workflow.

Prompt: “Remove the hands/phone and restore the subjects based on how they look on the phone.”
While Adobe's Firefly models excel at commercially safe, licensed content, Nano Banana offers superior quality for character-preserving edits and complex prompt understanding.
With "Nano Banana" in Photoshop's Generative Fill, you'll be able to:
Maintain perfect character likeness: Edit photos of people and pets while preserving exact facial features and characteristics—change outfits, backgrounds, or scenarios without losing identity
Use complex conversational prompts: Instead of simple fill requests, use detailed instructions like "remove the person from the chair and realistically reconstruct the leather texture behind them.”
Expand images with consistency: Use Generative Fill to expand image boundaries while maintaining the subject's appearance and the scene's lighting authenticity.
Quick product variations: Select products and change materials, colors, or settings while maintaining realistic shadows and environmental context.
SNEAK PEEK! Nano Banana is coming to Photoshop (Beta.) Fix glare, face direction, text replacement & more with just a prompt. Game-changing AI is coming to Photoshop Gen Fill! #nb-in-ps #communityxadobe

The integration represents Adobe's multi-model strategy, giving users access to different AI aesthetics and capabilities without leaving their Photoshop workflow.
Users will be able to choose between Adobe's commercially safe Firefly models and Google's Nano Banana depending on their project needs.
