This week, Play released "Play AI," an AI assistant that lets you design iOS and macOS apps using natural language commands.
Unlike traditional design tools that only create mockups, Play generates production-ready code that exports directly to Xcode (Apple's official development software).
And… with AI, you can now build entire app screens and interactions just by describing what you want.
Play is a design tool for creating native iOS and macOS apps, enabling designers to build high-fidelity prototypes and production-ready code entirely within one platform.
With Play AI, you can now:
🎨 Generate complete screens and components: Create entire app screens, widgets, weather components, or even particle systems by typing prompts like "generate a weather widget" or "create a heart-rate monitoring chart."
✨ Build interactions with natural language: Describe interactions like "on tap, trigger a light haptic and open Profile in a sheet" or "when I scroll, make the CTA visible."
🔥 Apply effects and make system-wide changes: Add components, apply effects like Liquid Glass to all buttons, or swap design elements across your entire project with a single command like "swap all SF Symbols to non-silver versions."
🤖 Automate grunt work: Use /select to target layers based on any property (like "select all stacks with a blue background") and /command to instantly move, duplicate, or delete elements.
🔁 Update content instantly: Batch-edit copy, rewrite text for clarity, localize content, or fill designs with realistic visuals using commands like "/image fill all images with profile photos" or "/text shorter headlines."
The feature is currently in beta and available to all users on any plan with daily credit limits.
After beta, Play AI will transition to a tiered credit system with different amounts included for each paid plan.

Precision v2 comes in three modes:
Sublime (up to 16x): The most versatile option with a subtle creative touch, optimized for speed and quality at 4x upscaling. Best choice for most use cases.
Photo (2x only): The most faithful to the original image with zero creativity. Increases print resolution without any alterations—perfect for photographers who need larger professional prints.
Photo Denoiser (2x only): Similar to Photo mode but includes a denoiser effect, ideal for cleaning up noisy images while maintaining fidelity.
All three modes include professional-grade controls for Sharpen and Smart Grain, giving you precise control over the final output.
Upscaling explained: The numbers (2x, 16x) refer to how much the image resolution increases.
A 2x upscale doubles the width and height (resulting in 4x the total pixels), while 16x upscaling multiplies dimensions by 16 (turning a 100x100 pixel image into 1600x1600 pixels).
