🔄 Adobe Illustrator releases “Turntable”

This week, Adobe Illustrator released a new "Turntable" feature in public beta, bringing the much-anticipated AI-powered 3D rotation feature from Adobe MAX 2024's experimental "Project Turntable" demonstration to real users.
Turntable solves a common problem for illustrators: being able to view & edit 2D vector artwork from different angles without having to redraw everything from scratch.
The feature uses AI to intelligently generate new perspectives while preserving your original art style, colors, and line quality.

The feature works best with clean, real-world vector art that's been grouped together.
With Turntable, you can now:
Rotate artwork horizontally and vertically: Generate side, front, and back views of any 2D vector illustration using simple slider controls.
Preserve artistic integrity: Thee AI maintains your original colors, drawing style, and line consistency across all generated angles.
Work non-destructively: Your original artwork remains untouched — new views are generated separately and can be inserted as needed.
Generate views automatically: All possible viewing angles are created instantly once you activate the feature.
Once your artwork is selected and grouped, simply click "Turntable" in the control bar or properties panel to access the rotating preview interface.
I honestly didn't think this would work but what?! 🤯

🪟 Sketch releases “Barcelona”

New Glass effect
This week, Sketch released "Barcelona" (2025.2.1), its second major update of 2025 featuring an all-new "Glass" effect that designers have been requesting for years.
Barcelona includes 30+ improvements and fixes, introducing the highly anticipated Glass effect alongside concentric corners, progressive blurs, and progressive alpha.
The update arrives perfectly timed with Apple's iOS 26 and macOS 26 rollouts, giving designers the tools they need to create interfaces that match Apple's new "Liquid Glass" design language.

New Progressive Blur effect
With Barcelona, you can now:
Create realistic glass effects: Apply automatic frosted glass settings or fine-tune every parameter including light angle, refraction, depth, and chromatic aberration through the new Effects section.
Design with concentric corners: Set corner styles to Auto for automatic visual alignment with the nearest container, calculated based on distance and padding.
Apply progressive effects: Use Linear or Radial Progressive options for both blurs and alpha fades, with adjustable stops similar to gradients that you can control directly on canvas.
Access updated Apple libraries: Work with new macOS 26 and iOS 26 UI components featuring glass effects, available through Settings > Libraries.

New Concentric Corners setting
The update also includes 30+ additional improvements, from component search keywords to P3 color space support for WebP exports, plus performance optimizations for blur rendering and shadow processing.
Barcelona is available now for all Sketch users, requiring macOS Sonoma 14.0 or later.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
🎬 Kling AI releases “Start & End Frames”

This week, Kling AI released "Start & End Frames" for KLING 2.1, delivering what many consider the most sophisticated implementation of frame control in AI video generation to date.
While start and end frame features have existed across various platforms, Kling's execution stands out for its precision and consistency, addressing common issues like visual drift and jarring transitions that have plagued earlier implementations.
Start & End Frames allow you to upload two images: one showing how you want your video to begin and another showing how it should end.
The AI then generates the motion and transitions between these two points, giving you precise control over the narrative flow instead of relying solely on text prompts.
WTF. This is getting insane.

With the improved "Start & End Frames" in KLING 2.1:
Better narrative control: More precise transitions between your defined frames with significantly less visual drift.
Enhanced subject consistency: Characters, objects, and environments now stay stable throughout sequences with minimal morphing.
Smoother camera movements: Natural pans, zooms, and transitions that feel intentional rather than jarring.
Professional reliability: Consistent results that make it viable for client work and branded content..
Early testing shows KLING 2.1 delivering significantly better results than competitors like Seedance (by Bytedance) and Midjourney, with noticeably smoother transitions and more reliable consistency across generated sequences.
